I was recently asked by a constituent if I was “Pro-life or Pro-abortion”. My response was:
“My focus on this campaign is our struggling economy and I will support legislation that is:
1. Constitutional
2. In the best interest of the people of our district
3. Helps boost our economy”
It was hard to say that because it seems so dismissive, but I was being honest. Some issues (or “non-issues”) polarize us and I believe that a house divided against itself cannot stand. We can discuss and debate issues all day long, but the bottom line is “How does that hurt or help the economy?”.
